industry pain points
As the core exterior components and load-bearing structure of vehicles, the spray quality of car wheels directly affects the vehicle's appearance, anti-corrosion performance, and service life. Traditional wheel hub painting relies on manual operation, which has pain points such as poor coating uniformity, significant color difference, excessive VOC emissions, and low production efficiency, making it difficult to adapt to the high standardization and large-scale production needs of the automotive industry.
Solution
The six axis spraying specialized robot developed by Boming has core parameters adapted to the wheel hub spraying scenario:
1. Load capacity: 6kg, capable of stably carrying high-voltage electrostatic spray guns, paint supply pipelines, and detection sensors;
2. Repetitive positioning accuracy: ± 0.05mm, ensuring consistency of multiple batches of wheel hub spraying trajectories;
3. Arm span range: 1500-2300mm, covering the spraying range of 14-22 inch full specification wheels, with no blind spots for operation;
Customer Case
A high-end automotive parts manufacturer
Pain point: The thickness error of the car wheel hub coating does not exceed 0.05mm, but due to manual painting, the coating thickness is uneven, and the loss of wheel hub coating can reach up to 70%
Solution: Build a production line consisting of 5 Boming spraying robots.
Result: The coating thickness uniformity error is ≤± 0.03mm, the color difference deviation Δ E is less than 0.8, there are no defects such as missed spraying, sagging, orange peel, pinholes, etc., and the wheel hub coating loss has been reduced to 50%. The project was also delivered 5 days ahead of schedule.
